This service gives employees access to benefit plan information, answers to enrollment and eligibility questions, carrier claims support, and individual issue resolution. Employers have a potential liability if they help an employee with a claim due to HIPAA regulations. As such, LIS is available for assisting employees directly with escalated claims issues. Once an employee signs the HIPPA authorization, LIS provides the employee with solutions to help resolve the claim problem, while keeping all health issues private.
